Reading is an art. It requires skills as are required for making an art work. Like other art works, reading needs adequate understanding of sounds, sufficient practice of fluency, exact knowledge of correct vocabulary, control over misunderstandings, and motivation for the purpose of reading. Therefore, it depends on our choices, decisions, intentions, senses, and interests based on past experiences. Reading brings exploration in mind, develops emotional intelligence, and tests the reader’s ability to receive the sense of understanding the meaning of a page of print. It is one of the arts in which a reader’s progress in language is judged. It depicts an active interaction between the reader and a page of print that draws out the main idea, details, and interprets or infers meanings. Reading collaborate writer and reader for constant learning from each other. The most effective method for mastering this art is continuous practice. Therefore, the illustrious road to better and faster comprehension in reading is simply–reading. It requires more and more reading under expert guidance.
